Think I have a new designer to add to my favourites list!
If you don’t like how Blythe artists list and sell their items, just don’t buy from them. They have the right to list it on whatever site, however they want, including ebay or auctions. Bitching about it just makes you sound silly.
Really? there are people that complain about that?
I have an issue with US sellers who refuse to sell internationally because “the shipping costs are too high”. This not only pertains to forum sales but more especially to those who have actual businesses such as an Etsy shop. The buyer is usually responsible for paying the shipping fees, so why is it that these sellers refuse to ship overseas because its too expensive? If the buyer is okay with paying the cost, what’s the REAL problem here??
I always offer shipping anywhere, and have never been asked to mark down anything I send overseas. Mind you I ship from the EU, not from the US. I also notice I hardly ever come across “Europe only” sales?
I’m on a very low income and sometimes my Etsy sales pay for my food shopping. It feels good eating a meal knowing I paid for it by sewing for Blythe. I wonder what my customers would think if they knew how important their sales are to me.
This!
I adore making little sweaters and dresses for my Etsy shop and I’m always thrilled when someone buys from me. I just wish that more people would look beyond the “popular” designers and see us little crafters that fill every creation with love.
Amen!
